Top Questions to Ask During Your Initial Meeting
- What experience do you have with weddings?

- Will we have an initial consultation?
Meeting your DJ face-to-face, whether over Zoom or in person, is essential to make sure they understand your vision and vibe. Glen and Pam believe if they’re not the right fit, they’ll guide you to someone who is—because the right energy makes all the difference.
- How do you create the music playlist?
DJs often provide song suggestions, but you’ll want to be clear on preferred genres, must-haves, and a do-not-play list. Start by asking them if they will allow this, and next if they will provide you with guidance and what genres they are up for playing. Not all DJ’s will play every song, and many specialize in a certain genre – having the experience and data base to meet your needs. Glen and Pam have a vast library, so couples can craft a playlist that feels just right.
- Are you licensed and insured?
This often-overlooked question is key, especially as many venues require insurance. Ensuring your DJ is licensed and insured means one less worry on your big day.

- How involved will you be in planning?
I worked a wedding with Pam and Glen and was so impressed with the detailed itinerary they had laid out with the couple. I always do this with the couple a month before, but they were one step ahead of me. I knew every detail of what was going to happen (but they also were able to be flexible when things didn’t go according to plan). As wedding professionals we have a great idea of how long dinner will take, what should go before what, etc and can offer you this advice to make your life easier. Check with your DJ if they offer a plan like this or if they are more the hands off type.
